The TTSGFBL05W produces a flickering flame effect rather than a steady light, for garden borders, driveways and entrance approaches. Supplied as a pack of two.

Where it fits

Either side of a path or gate, or grouped in a planting bed. The effect works by contrast, so use them where the surroundings are otherwise dark — placed near a bright fixture the flicker is lost entirely.

What is inside

50 lumens of flame-effect output on a LiFePO4 battery charged by a 0.8 W panel. LiFePO4 in a decorative fixture is worth noting: it gives a service life of 8 to 12 years where the Ni-MH cells used in most decorative garden packs give two to three.

Installation

Stake-mounted, pushed into soft ground. Water hard ground first rather than forcing the spike, which cracks the housing. Automatic dusk-to-dawn operation.
