This policy explains what personal information shinesun.in collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It describes what this website actually does — nothing more.
Who we are
Shinesun India Solar manufactures and supplies solar lighting from Bangalore, Karnataka, India. This website is our product catalogue and enquiry channel. For any question about your personal information, write to support@shinesun.in.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form. There are three, and this is the whole list.

If you create an account we also store your name, phone number and a secured version of your password. Your password is never stored in a form we can read.
What we do not collect
Worth stating plainly, because an earlier version of this policy said otherwise and was wrong.
- No payment information. No card numbers, no bank account details, no UPI IDs. This website has no checkout — every product is quoted by enquiry, and any payment for an order happens outside this site.
- No delivery addresses are collected through the website.
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone, for any purpose.
Why we collect it
To answer you. An enquiry without a way to reply is not an enquiry. We use your details to respond to your question, prepare a quotation, and follow up on it. If you subscribed to the newsletter we use your email to send occasional product and technical updates, and every one of those carries an unsubscribe link.
We do not use your enquiry details for marketing unless you separately subscribed.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies.
Your browser may store a small amount of data locally to remember things between pages — this stays on your device and is not sent to us. If you log in to an account, a session cookie keeps you logged in until you sign out.
If we add website analytics in future, this section will be updated to say so before it is switched on.
Who else sees your information
- Our hosting provider, which operates the server this website runs on.
- Our email provider, which delivers enquiry notifications and newsletters.
- Anyone we are legally required to disclose to, such as a lawful order from a court or authority.
If you ask us to put you in touch with a local dealer or pole supplier for installation, we will share only what is needed to make that introduction, and only after you have asked us to.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and contact messages are kept while they are commercially useful — a buyer often returns months later about the same project, and the earlier conversation is worth having. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete any of it sooner.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it
- stop sending you the newsletter — the link at the bottom of any newsletter does this immediately
Write to support@shinesun.in and we will respond. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that nobody else can request your information.
Children
This website is intended for business and adult buyers. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, this page changes with them and the date at the top is updated. The version you are reading is the one that applies.
