This model is no longer manufactured.
The specifications below are kept for owners of existing installations.
The TTSHL5W is a solar home light for rooms without reliable grid supply — a fixed indoor light that charges from its own panel and runs when the mains does not.
Where it fits
A room in a house, shop or site office where outages are frequent or supply is absent. At 500 lumens it lights a small to medium room adequately to work, cook or move around safely.
What is inside
5 W LED producing 500 lumens, on a 10 Ah LiFePO4 battery charged by a 10 W panel. LiFePO4 matters more in emergency lighting than almost anywhere else: the fixture sits idle for long periods and then has to work, and LiFePO4 holds charge and tolerates heat far better than the lithium-ion used in cheaper units. Service life 8 to 12 years.
Installation
The light mounts indoors; the panel has to reach daylight, so allow for a short cable run to a window, balcony or roof. That routing is the part most often overlooked when planning an indoor solar light.
